The thickness of the plate and the method used to connect the ball to the AMPS plate are crucial for long-term performance of this type of base. Thinner plates have a tendency to bend away from the ball over time in high-stress environments. This is not an issue with our 20mm Ball Mount, which features a THICKER AMPS PLATE.
It is important to note that minor differences in the roundness of the ball can greatly affect the holding power at the ball and socket joint. Tackform holds itself to the highest quality standard with all of its 20mm Ball Mount Parts and Components, ensuring a PERFECTLY ROUND BALL.
The Industry Standard AMPS 38mm x 30mm (1.181" x 1.496") Hole Pattern is used in the design of our product.
